Q: Are your translators ATA-certified?

A: Most of our US-based translators are certified by the American Translators Association. However, that is not enough for us. In addition to certification, we also require five years of professional translation experience, check references and have applicants submit a translation test - all to ensure that you get the best quality translations.

Q: Do you certify your translations?

A: Upon request, we can certify your translation. This process if often necessary for legal documents like birth certificates and educational documents, but not for general documents. An additional fee applies for certification.

Q: How do you price your translations?

Our translations are priced based on language pair, volume, technical nature and format. We do our very best to balance our need to offer competitive rates while at the same time compensating our translators for their hard work. We not the cheapest and we're certainly not the most expensive. With WLS Translations, you'll get quality work, great service and reasonable rates. If you get a more competitive rate, please let us know, and we'll try to win your business by beating it!

Q: Do you charge a minimum or a rush fee?

A: We have a $65 minimum project fee. Depending on timeframe, a rush fee may apply.

Q: What formats do you accept?

A: We accept all software formats, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Quark, FrameMaker and others. While we can work for PDFs, faxes and hard copies, the fastest and best work happens when we have the original, editable files to work with.

Q: How long will my translation take?

A: We try to accommodate all timing needs, and if one translator can't do it, we can assign multiple translators to your project. An average translator can translate 1500-2000 words per day.

Q: How can I ensure that I get the best possible translation?

A: To ensure a high quality translation, some suggestions:

    * Provide us a well-written document
    * Provide the original, editable file
    * Any company-specific acronyms or terminology - just us a heads up
    * Provide clear instructions as to formatting, timing and region of your audience (e.g. US Hispanic vs. Spain)
    * Communication is key!

Q: What other services does WLS Translations offer?
